Let me be clear at the outset: I’m glad the Senate got something done, but it could have done so much more for the American people.

Brunner Blasts Stupak Amendment

Need further proof that Jennifer Brunner is the only real Democrat running for the U.S. Senate from Ohio? Today she denounced the amendment in the healthcare bill that denies women the right to make their own choices. Lee Fisher has not issued any statement on the healthcare vote in the House.

The Brunner statement:
By voting . . . to block women from essential reproductive health care services, the anti-choice obstructionists in Congress have abandoned Ohio women and would legislate a woman’s constitutional right to choose ineffective at best.
